Why Choose Vlieseline Interfacing?
Previously known as Vilene, Vlieseline is recognised as the professional's choice for interfacing and wadding product.
Over the past 60 years, Vlieseline has become an internationally recognised brand for high quality interfacing products. Vlieseline interfacing is ideal for all projects and makers, whether you are a sewing enthusiast or professional tailor or dressmaker.
Our Vlieseline fusible interfacing fabric is a great quality iron-on interfacing, available in G740 black and G740 ecru colour ways.
As a medium-weight interfacing with brushed cotton finish, this is an easy to apply iron-on backing for many of our fabrics and works great for a whole range of projects that require interfacing. This can include anything from fusible interfacing for bag making, cushions or clothing and a range of haberdashery and craft projects.
Why Choose Fusible Interfacing?
Vlieseline fusible interfacing is incredibly easy to apply. Simply use an iron on low heat to help the adhesive side of the interfacing permanently bond to your fabric in seconds. This simple application makes Vlieseline fusible iron-on interfacing very easy to use, compared to sew-in interfacing. Fusible interfacing is suitable for most uses and will enhance your project. It is perfect on most fabrics, except on those that do not respond well to heat or are woven so loosely that the glue can seep through.
What Weight Interfacing Should Be Used?
As a guide, you should choose an interfacing weight that is the same weight as the fabric you will be using, or ideally slightly lighter. The manufacturer recommends to test a small piece of interfacing on your fabric, before applying to the rest of your project.
