Dylon hand dye is the perfect permanent fabric dye for creating long-lasting and intense colours; whether it be restoring faded clothes to their original colour or creating a whole new piece. A whole range of bright or classic colours is available to choose from.

• Each packet of Dylon fabric dye contains 50g and will dye up to 250g of fabric to full shade or 500g of fabric to a lighter shade.
• Super easy to use
• Ideal for use on natural fabrics such as linen, cotton and viscose.
•  Lighter shades will be achieved on mixed-fibre fabrics.
• You will need 250g of ordinary salt to mix with dye.

How much fabric dye do I need to dye one item of clothing?

• Each 50g sachet of dye will dye between 250g to 500g of fabric; depending on desired colour shade.

Dylon hand dye instructions: 

1. Weigh dry fabric. Wash thoroughly then leave damp.
2. Use rubber gloves to dissolve Dylon fabric dye in 500ml of warm water.
3. Fill a bowl with approx. 6 litres of warm water (40°C).
4. Stir in 250g of ordinary salt then add Dylon hand dye & stir.
5. Submerge fabric in mixed water.
6. Stir for 15mins at first, then stir regularly for 45mins.
7. Rinse the soaked fabric in clean cold water before washing in warm water.
8. Dry fabric away from direct heat & sunlight.
